WORKSHOP FACILITATOR, Lee Hopkins
Born in Enfield, England, raised in Adelaide, Australia and a some-time resident of cities as diverse as Reading, Penang, Sydney, Guildford, San Francisco, London and Melbourne, Lee Hopkins is a man of experience!
After leaving behind a career in the Royal Australian Air Force, he returned to England in the late 1980s to seek fame and fortune as a singer-songwriter.
Not finding it, he then read for a joint honours degree in Applied Psychology & Sociology and consulted to companies large and small as a management psychologist with a passion for employee communications.
Lee loves nothing more than helping companies and fellow professionals discover the almost limitless possibilities for improved business communication that both ‘old fashioned’ and new technology - and not just the internet - offers the smart business person.
A keen and active member of the International Association of Business Communicators and an invited author to the highly respected Journal of Employee Communication, Lee is a widely-read commentator on communication issues. Along with fellow business communicators he is at the forefront of new communication technologies and regularly showcases and demonstrates to businesses how they too can ‘marry’ proven communication practices with new technology. He is a highly-acclaimed practitioner who many have said is one of Australia’s leading thinkers on business communication strategy in an everdeveloping, ever-changing online environment.
