2006 Winners List
Government Sponsored Campaigns
Winner - Golden Target
- Live in Canberra - Jeremy Lasek, ACT Government
"Brilliant campaign, exceptionally well presented. Well founded on research and good use of research to fine-tune the execution. The entry could have been improved with the inclusion of issues management - i.e. impacts of media coverage on key stakeholders and discussion of the effects of the NSW Premier's reaction. Presented a detailed budget of the costs - but did not include in-house resourcing."

"The Telstra Road to Tamworth campaign was a significant and complex public relations campaign which aimed to maximise sponsorship leverage. The outstanding results are testimony to very high standards of professional communications - from research and planning to implementation and evaluation. Of particular note, the submission detailed the target publics and their relationships to the Telstra Road to Tamworth event; a comprehensive and mutli-layered communications strategy; and a 12-month media plan to engage with stakeholders at every stage. The campaign clearly benefited from Telstra's financial investment in the public relations campaign, but the return on investment was high - with all objectives being met. The judges particularly commended the nationwide regional focus which was maintained throughout."
