Working with PRIA

PRIA provides significant opportunities for companies and organisations looking to reach public relations and communication practitioners, and those working in related fields. We have a growing membership of over 2,500 individual members at all levels of experience, in all fields of expertise and from all over Australia. Our client base also includeds many more individuals that participate regularly in our events and training programs at local level.

Our membership network:

  • Is highly educated - tertiary education is one of the requirements of membership
  • Is  predominantly female - over 70% of our members are women, reflecting the wider industry trend
  • Is based primarily in NSW and VIC (50%) but with strong relative representation in other States/Territories
  • Is relatively mixed in terms of age and seniority - 43% of our members are 35 or less, while around 40% of members have been with us for over 5 years.
  • Trust us and stay with us - over 90% of members renewed their subscription this year and last.

A number of opportunties exist across the year for companies wishing to work with us at National and at State level.

National Conference

The premier Public Relations and Communications event in the business calendar. Over 3 days, 300+ professional communication practitioners gather to hear international speakers, attend practical workshops and exchange ideas at a range of social events. The role of Primary Conference Sponsor is available, together with sponsorships for sessions, workshops, the Reception Cocktail Event and the Gala Dinner.

Golden Target Awards

For over 30 years, the PRIA Golden Target Awards have demonstrated excellence in PR practice across consultancy and in house led campaigns, in all areas of PR and Communication. The National Awards culminate in a high profile presentation evening at the PRIA National Conference. Promotion around the program begins in February, and over 6 months all States/Territories develop and deliver a number of promotions and events around leading up to the main awards, including their own local State/Territory Awards. Sponsorships are available at State and National level, coverng the State and National Awards events, award categories, pre-events and all promotional materials.

The PRIA website recieves almost a million hits a year and is optimised for searches around public relations, communications and related key words. Our page regularly features as one of the top three sites in google. The traffic to our site includes institute members, non-member public relations practitioners, clients and, potential clients looking for information on the industry. Now you can reach this tightly defined market dramatically and cost effectively.

The Institute accepts selective advertising on this site from companies and organisations relevant to the public relations field and related communication disciplines. This includes public affairs, publicity, event management, employee communication and community relations organisations. This is a unique opportunity to reach industry operatives and their clients throughout Australia with specific messages. It is also an excellent vehicle for building your brand and reputation as well as displaying your wares.
