Apply for Student Membership

Becoming a Student Member of the PRIA is an important step forward in developing your career, and in demonstrating your commitment to a vibrant and thriving industry.

You qualify as a student member if you are enrolled in a full or part-time tertiary communication course and DO NOT work full time in a communication related role.

The annual fee for Student Membership is is $55.00 including GST.

To remain a Member, subscriptions much be renewed each financial year, starting June 30 next. All fees are fully tax deductible. There is no joining fee.

Once you are employed full time in a communication capacity please advise our National Membership team, and they can help you regrade to Professional Membership (APRIA).

Student Member's Statement

Payment of your membership fees indicates that you agree to this statement:

By completing this application and paying my fees I hereby agree to be admitted as a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia as a Student member. I declare that I am not aware of any reason why I should not be considered a fit and proper person to become a member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.

If admitted as a member, I agree to be governed by the Memorandum and Articles of Association and the Rules and By-Laws of the PRIA and of the State or Territory Institute to which I may be affiliated.

I agree to promote the objects of the PRIA and I confirm that I have read, understood and do agree without reservation to abide by the Code of Ethics of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.

Should I wish to resign my membership, I agree to signify my intention in writing, and shall pay all liabilities owed by me to the PRIA and/or my affiliated Institute before such resignation is accepted, and I further undertake to return any Certificate of Membership awarded to me.
