RMIT University offers Melbourne’s most long established and centrally located educational programs in public relations. The University continues to be a leader in public relations education, both through the range of its course offerings, and also through its growing emphasis on industry-relevant research and other activities. Both the Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and the Public Relations stream in the Master of Arts Communication are accredited by the PRIA. A series of industry short courses run by RMIT are also officially endorsed by the PRIA.
A recent major redesign of RMIT’s undergraduate (Bachelor) degree in public relations provides a strengthened mix of theoretical and practical industry-based content, aimed at ensuring RMIT graduates will continue to be among the leaders in contemporary public relations practice worldwide. It is envisaged that the new Bachelor of Communication (Public Relations) undergraduate degree will also be accredited in the near future.
