The Canberra Institute of Technology's (CIT) popular Introduction to Public Relations Short Course is now available online Australia-wide!
This introductory course is ideal for those with little or no previous experience in PR who are interested in gaining practical and fundamental skills in areas including:
- communication campaign design,
- media relations,
- issues management,
- PR writing skills (such as brochure, newsletter, media release and speech writing),
- building strong client relationships, and much more.
In addition to broader public relations strategies and tactics, the course has a strong focus on developing sound writing skills, including making your writing persuasive, succinct and focused.
Participants in the short course finish with a fantastic array of real-world public relations documents for their professional portfolio including media releases, a communications strategy, an issues management report, brochure, newsletter and sponsorship proposal. The course also credits towards CIT's Advanced Diploma of Public Relations.
The next round of courses (both online and classroom-based) will commence at the end of July 2008.
