PRIA’s Golden Target Awards are for PRIA members, regardless of where you currently work. You may still enter your work from a previous employer but you may need to check with them for permission. Also ensure the campaign was completed and evaluated by 30 April in the year of entry into the Awards.
As PRIA membership is held individually, so are the Golden Target Awards. The award is associated with the individual entrant(s) who completed the campaign work and submitted the entry. The award is is not given to the organisation.
Entries must only be submitted once.
You may enter several campaigns in several categories however you may not enter the same entry more than once. You must decide on one category that most accurately suits the particular campaign you are entering.
You may submit as many entries as you like (as long as they are different campaigns) and yes you may enter the same category more than once.
If you have any questions regarding the Golden Target Awards please contact PRIA on julian.kenny@pria.com.au and we can refer your enquiry to the GTA panel.
The campaign must have been continuous and must include an evaluation of the work which was done in the current period (i.e. in the 12 months up to 30 April in the year of entry into the Awards) and an evaluation prior to that period (i.e. an evaluation prior to 30 April 2011). The campaign could run from 2010, 2011 to 2012 with evaluations prior to 30 April 2011 and 30 April 2012. For further enquiries please contact the PRIA office on julian.kenny@pria.com.au.
Yes, entries are now all submitted online. You will need to create an account at gta.pria.com.au, then log in to submit your entry. The entry template contains detailed content guidance for each section and can be downloaded here.
To maintain the high professional standard of the awards, the judging panel includes senior public relations professionals, communication professionals and academics.
Entries are judged against a set criteria and awarded against other category entries firstly in their state/territory and then against category entries across Australia. There are three awards in each of the sixteen categories at both the State and National level – Winner, Highly Commended and Commended.
Our judges are experienced practitioners and long serving PRIA members who abide by our code of ethics and the GTA judging criteria. Any conflicts of interest are declared and judges may step aside from assessing your campaign if required.
Of course. If you're having technical issues with the online entry system, then contact eAwards on 1300 366 602 and they will happily assist you. Or if your query is regarding your entry then contact PRIA on julian.kenny@pria.com.au and we will also be very happy to help you.
You may submit as many entries as you like as long as they are different campaigns.
Once we have collated the assessment results for stage one, we will send you an email to inform you of your success in moving on to stage two.
