PRIA’s Golden Target Awards are for PRIA members, regardless of where you currently work. You may still enter your work from a previous employer but you may need to check with them for permission. Also ensure the campaign was completed and evaluated by 30 April in the year of entry into the Awards.

Who receives the award, the entrant or the organisation?

As PRIA membership is held individually, so are the Golden Target Awards. The award is associated with the individual entrant(s) who completed the campaign work and submitted the entry. The award is is not given to the organisation.

My campaign ran for longer than 12 months. How much of it should I enter?

The campaign must have been continuous and must include an evaluation of the work which was done in the current period (i.e. in the 12 months up to 30 April in the year of entry into the Awards) and an evaluation prior to that period (i.e. an evaluation prior to 30 April 2011). The campaign could run from 2010, 2011 to 2012 with evaluations prior to 30 April 2011 and 30 April 2012. For further enquiries please contact the PRIA office on julian.kenny@pria.com.au.

Who judges the entries and by what criteria?

To maintain the high professional standard of the awards, the judging panel includes senior public relations professionals, communication professionals and academics.

There are three awards in each of the sixteen categories at both the State and National level – Winner, Highly Commended and Commended.
