Price: Membership is $90 per annum which is valid from join date.

If you’d prefer to pay in instalments, pay-by-the-month is now available. We are now able to set up an automatic direct debit of $9 per month, for a 12 month duration or $25 per 3 months, for a 12 month duration from your nominated account. This makes PRIA student membership even more affordable and accessible.

Student Ambassador

As a Student Member you are eligible to apply to be a Student Ambassador.

PRIA is launching a PRIA Student Ambassador Program and we need ambitious, creative and motivated Student members currently studying full time on campus at an Australian University to be the first ever PRIA Student Ambassadors.

The Purpose of the PRIA Student Ambassador Program will be to have a PRIA student representative in tertiary education facilities to promote PRIA membership and events to potential student members.

The Role of the PRIA Student Ambassador Will Be To:

  • Increase student awareness of PRIA, student membership and upcoming relevant events by communicating with students through word-of-mouth, lecture presentations, social media and any other means available at individual universities.

  • Liaise with relevant state councils and the PRIA monthly to keep up-to-date with relevant industry news and PRIA events.

  • Contribute articles to the PRIA online Blog

  • Where relevant/appropriate attend O-Week/open days/societies or other opportunities to promote PRIA at your university.

PRIA realise your busy people, so we have come up with a few ways to not only make your university life a little richer but make your resume that bit more interesting:

  • Enhance job prospects – Formal recognition from PRIA of achievements as a Student ambassador

  • Opportunity to liaise with high level PR professionals through working with PRIA state councils

  • Be at the forefront of industry news and developments in your state.

  • Opportunity for the top 10 Student Ambassadors nationally to receive a free registration to the PRIA National Conference

  • Opportunity to have your work published on the PRIA website

How to Become a Student Ambassador

All PRIA student members currently enrolled in a full time communication/PR course in person are eligible to apply to become a PRIA student Ambassador.

To apply for the position please email a brief summary of your current academic and social achievements as well as your resume to membership@pria.com.au if your academic and personal attributes suit the position and there is currently an opening you will be notified by PRIA and be sent out an information pack.
