If climate change is the greatest moral challenge of the century, the nexus between the communication and the environment is of critical importance to all PR practitioners. Murray Hogarth, speaker, writer and media commentator on climate and sustainability issues and author of The 3rd Degree: Frontline in Australia’s Climate War, shared highlights of his extensive experience and comments on where we are all heading.

Murray Hogarth is a business environmentalist. He advises corporate, government and community clients on climate change, environment and sustainability strategy and communications through his consultancy the 3rd degree, and also is a freelance writer.

A former Environment Editor of The Sydney Morning Herald and ABC-TV Four Corners reporter, Murray had an award-winning career in journalism extending over more than two decades, including coverage of many major environmental issues. After leaving full-time journalism, Murray worked with Australia’s pioneering specialist sustainability firm Ecos Corporation for nine years from 1999, including serving as joint managing partner in 2007-8. Through Ecos, he consulted to major national and international companies across numerous industry sectors in Australia, the US and Asia.
