In this session Michael will explore the latest in media measurement and evaluation, including alternatives to AVE. After covering International best-practice, he will map out the approach to building a strategic evaluation program. Several cases and examples will help bring to life the opportunity to show your value and integrate with mainstream marketing.
The session includes the Australian Evaluation Model developed by Michael with the PRIA Measurement and Evaluation Committee and based on the Barcelona Principles by AMEC

The Practical Toolbox assumes basic levels of competence in digital communications and delves into Advanced Facebook practices, Twitter for business, Pinterest, Google Plus and Social Media Optimisation.
Online Brand Management looks at effective ways of managing trolls and negative criticism, reporting analytics from social media dashboards and how to build a key social media influencers list to develop followers and advance your brand through engagement.
Dive in to the working world of the media and learn what makes them tick, what ticks them off and how to get your story into the news.
This interactive half day session covers:
- What’s newsworthy and why?
- How to prepare your media material
- Pitching your story idea
- Preparing compelling media stories (rather than trying to flog corporate messaging)
- Do’s and don’ts for working with journalists, and
- Controlling the media conversation.
This interactive engaging workshop will include a practical component so come prepared with something to work on!
This practical crisis communication session will draw on key frameworks from the preceding three days’ workshops to focus on managing social and traditional media in a crisis. Using case studies and a purpose built scenario we will address managing outrage and working with the outrage industry, along with practical tools including how and when to deliver an effective apology, and crisis interview techniques.
