Jonathan Champ is a communicator, researcher and strategic advisor with close to 20 years experience helping organisations communicate - meaningfully.
He has held senior in-house communication roles in three of the top 25 listed ASX companies, including five years as Head of Communication at QBE, three years as change communication practice lead at Westpac and a range of communication roles at IAG.
He founded Meaning Business in 2010, providing strategic, practical communication and leadership solutions to across a range of sectors including government, health, media, education, finance, and professional services.
As Research and Content Director for Melcrum Asia Pacific, he co-curated four Strategic Communication Summits on topics including leadership, digital communication, engagement, social media and creating communication value, and is the creator of Melcrum’s Introduction to Internal Communication program used globally as a bridge to IC practice.
Committed to developing the communication profession, he has been a Public Relations tutor for Macquarie University, and a member of IABC’s Gold Quill judging panel.
Prior to working in corporate communication, Jonathan worked in television production and remains involved in creative and screen industries. He was the licensee and executive producer of Western Sydney’s first TEDx event, TEDxParramatta in 2012, and is an associate member of the Australian Writers Guild.
