  • Digital Media

Arguably it is said that the public relations may have missed its opportunity with digital. It doesn't matter which side of the fence you currently sit on, this particular session says let's get digital, digital.

Yes, the channels may have changed and old form poster campaigns may not be the main form of communicating in 2016, yet the message and how it is delivered remains the same.

This session will bolster your skillsets around digital storytelling and how you can make your message stand out from the internet of things.

Think MTV, VICE and CommBank here.

  • Measurement and Evaluation

At the core, a robust measurement and evaluation (M&E) framework is the only way to demonstrate the value you bring to your clients or companies. The world in which we practice PR has changed dramatically. As economies faltered during the GFC, businesses began to scrutinise costs and demand more tangible business results from all aspects of their organisations, including PR. In many cases PR was unable to provide evidence-based, credible results or demonstrate return on investment. More information to come.

    2016 National Conference

    November 2016

Each year the PRIA National Conference stands as the premier public relations and communication event in Australia, attracting attendees from around the country as well as our friends and colleagues from across the Tasman and further afield in the greater Asia Pacific region. In the past few years, we've seen the conference travel from Melbourne to Adelaide, Brisbane and Hobart. For 2016, it's all about Perth, Western Australia, and plans are already afoot to build another stellar conference program.

    This year's theme: Communication Innovation

Change is a defining word of our decade. From our climate, to our technology, to consumer behaviour, to our governments and our jobs, being able to keep pace with change has become a part of everyday life. Public relations and communication, for better or worse, is on the front lines, managing constant upheaval and disruption to the lives of people, the machinations of institutions and the operation of organisations. Innovation in the way we communicate is paramount to our survival.
