NSW: Measuring and Evaluating Public Relations Success

Measurement and evaluation are essential to track the success of your public relations/communication campaign, provide credible proof of results to management, and identify and learn from your achievements. This workshop provides useful guidelines and tools for planning and implementing evaluation techniques, including how to:

  • Set measurable objectives (outputs and outcomes)
  • Select appropriate evaluation mechanisms
  • Set evaluation criteria
  • Use research to evaluate success
  • Apply media content analysis, a commonly used PR evaluation tool

Facilitator: Carol Moore, Director of Moore Public Relations

In developing this workshop, Carol has drawn on her 22 years’ experience in the communication industry in London and Sydney, including 12 years with leading public relations consultancies and ten years as principal of Moore Public Relations. Carol’s consulting experience spans a wide range of sectors, from healthcare and consumer goods to government, not-for-profit and business-to-business, enabling her to relate real-world case studies that add practical interest to her workshops.

She has won numerous state and national PRIA awards for her work, as well as the International Public Relations Association's Golden World Award. She holds a degree in Business-Communication, majoring in public relations, from the Queensland University of Technology and is a longstanding PRIA Member. When time permits, Carol runs corporate training sessions and lectures business students in public relations and professional writing.
