QLD: Annual Report Writing March 2012

This course has been developed for those responsible for putting together their organisation's annual report. It is suitable for both those who are new to the task and those wishing to take their annual reports to the next level. In this day-long course, given by one of the most experienced practitioners in the industry, you'll learn:

• The elements that make up an award-winning annual report
• How to source the material stakeholders will want to read
• How to structure a report to get the results you're aiming for
• The difference between the Chairman and CEO reviews - and how to write them
• How to keep your readers interested and engaged in your report
• The importance of design and how to work with designers and contributors
• How to create time and production schedules and project manage your annual report

Facilitator: Derryn Heilbuth, Managing Director of Businesswriters & Design

Derryn Heilbuth is Managing Director of Businesswriters & Design, a corporate publishing and strategic and creative services agency. She has over 20 years of corporate communications experience, following an earlier career in newspaper, magazine and television journalism. Before founding Businesswriters & Design in 1990, Derryn was Publications Editor at Westpac Banking Corporation.

She has advised on, written and/or produced in excess of 100 annual and sustainability reports for over 80 companies including PBL, Santos, Woolworths, Lion Nathan, Westpac, Caltex, Macquarie, Challenger Financial Services, AGL and Unwired, to name just a few. Derryn is the author of a book on business and has taught literature and communications at university and TAFE. She has a Masters degree in journalism.
