We all know that successful communication relies on a robust, research-led approach to strategy development and campaign planning. Yet many of us struggle with strategic thinking. A well-articulated communications strategy is what separates great consultants from good tacticians, award winning campaigns from the mediocre, and the thinkers from the doers.

This 10-week professional development program equips learners with the practical skills and know how to develop engaging and effective communications campaigns through tried and tested, best practice, big agency processes. Plus, it is aligned to the PRIA Professional Framework (Managerial).

Workplace Practicals:

To consolidate learning, all learners are encouraged to apply key principles from the training sessions to their own workplaces. NB. A sign-off sheet detailing completed tasks is required to receive certification.

Sarah’s career spans over 25 years in public relations including long term senior roles at Edelman, Hausmann, Saatchi & Saatchi (London) and running her own boutique consultancy. From global brands to local store, she has developed and managed all aspects of PR practice acquiring specialty skills in strategic planning, creative campaign development and stakeholder relations for some of the world’s biggest brands.


Lex Deasley
Strategy & Creative Director, The Haus

With over 18 years of experience in creative marketing communications, Lex’s career has seen him create both pioneering and award-winning work for some of the world’s most loved brands. An early proponent of psychological and behavioural models in communications planning, Lex has always put the audience firmly at the centre of his campaigns, asking the question, “how can we make their lives better?”. With in-house and agency experience on three different continents at companies such as Red Bull, Ogilvy and Exposure and clients such as Nike, Levi’s, P&G and CUB, he brings a wealth of diversity and experience.
