Golden Target Awards - State Finalists 2017

- The Finalists -

Being a state finalist in the Golden Target Awards is an amazing achievement in itself, even more so in 2017 considering that this year we have received the highest number of entries in the 41-year history of the Golden Target Awards.

The competition for this year’s Golden Target Awards has been incredibly tough. We’ve received an enormous number of truly high-quality submissions and the Golden Target Award Judges have been tasked with making some extremely challenging decisions to narrow down all the impressive work and determine the 2017 Winners.

The PRIA thanks all of this year’s entrants for their participation in the Awards and wish all of the finalists the best of luck at both the state and national level. We recognise that a huge amount of time, effort and energy goes into writing a compelling Award entry - so thank you to all candidates.

This year the Golden Target Awards criteria and processes were completely overhauled, bringing the Awards in-line with contemporary practice in public relations and communication. One additional change for 2017 is that there will no longer be ‘Commended’ submission – only ‘Winners’ and ‘Highly Commended’.

The Golden Target Awards program culminates at the National Finals, to be celebrated at a Gala Dinner on November 9 at the Sydney Opera House.

What does being a state finalist mean? Being a finalist means you are in the running to be a winner or receive a high commendation at the state-level.
