The Asia Pacific Public Relations Journal was founded in 1999 by University of Canberra public relations colleague’s Dr Rosaleen Smith and DR Raveena Singh. The Journal publishes original papers on public relations and related areas. The Journal encourages papers in research, theory, professional practice, comment, case studies and book reviews.
The PRIA houses the Journal on its website, providing access to PRIA members. This allows the impact of research to be extended to industry practitioners and academics alike.
Volume 20 presents six papers from authors in Australia, India, New Zealand, UK and the US. This diversity is also reflected in the range of topics covered in this issue including, the impact of online engagement for not-for-profit organisations, health care, the Indian government’s currency demonetisation, communication of a food safety crisis, climate change, and the unintended effects of public relations.
