PRIA VIC iRobot meet PR

Imagine this: Your clients, or your CEOs, pick up their handsets and dial: 1300 PRNOW

An automated, mid-20s, androgynous, Eurasian bot voice responds:

  • If you would like a Media Release and Distribution, Dial 1.
  • If you would like a Speech, Dial 2 and follow content theme prompts.
  • If you would like a Communication Strategy, Dial 3.

No! Tell me it isn’t so … And maybe, it just can’t happen?

If you can handle the truth you must come to the PRIA breakfast to hear Professor Anne Gregory,

She will appear in person – no hologram, no robot – to speak on the future of our communications industry and the looming technology that will help define it.

Almost every profession and industry, to some extent, is facing a techo-substitution revolution and there’s no escape and no reason to believe that communicators will be immune.

Sure, it’s the content, stupid. And, yes, there’s no algorithm for inspiration. But what are the parameters of the things that people will do and those that robots can do?

How do we prepare for that radically changed future?

This will be one of the special “think” events of the year.

It may just give you the framework to cut a swathe into the next generation of communications.

Professor Gregory is hosted by RMIT University and is also an Adjunct Professor of RMIT.

She is a global leader in PR and the UK’s only full-time professor of public relations.

Anne is a former Chair of the Global Alliance, the international confederation of professional bodies in public relations and communication management (PRIA is a member) and Professor of Corporate Communication at the University of Huddersfield, where she is also Head of the Department of Management.

Miss her at your peril.

See you there!
