South Australia PRIA 2017 Annual General Meeting

An Annual General Meeting of South Australian Members of the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) will be held on Tuesday 19 September 2017 at The Astor Hotel.

The business of the meeting is;

  • The election of the South Australian Division President who also serves as a National Board Member/Director*
  • The election of the Division Councillors

Nomination details:

To nominate yourself for one of the above positions, please email with the position you would like to be nominated for along with a brief policy statement and a copy of your CV.

Please note that all nominees for the position of Division Councillor must be financial Members, Associate Members or Fellows of PRIA. All nominees for the position of Division President/Director must be financial Members or Fellows of PRIA.

The nomination process works as follows:

  • The National Office will verify that nominees are financial PRIA Members.
  • The requirement is a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 Division Councillors.
  • The vote for Divisional President and Councillors will be conducted at the AGM and each candidate may supply a brief policy statement and CV.
  • The Divisional Council may appoint a Divisional Vice-President, Honorary Secretary and or a Divisional Honorary Treasurer from amongst the members of the Divisional Council.
  • Should insufficient Members nominate for the position of President or Division Councillors, the National Board, in consultation with the Division, may appoint Members to the Division Council which will elect a President from the Division Councillors.

*Note: Should the President be unable to serve as the National Board Member/Director, Councils may elect one of their number to serve in this role. The person so elected becomes a Director.

Venue: The Astor Hotel, 437 Pulteney Street, Adelaide
Attendance: FREE. Please note, the AGM is open only to financial PRIA members. Teleconference facility will be available for all members who cannot be there in person to participate.

If you wish to nominate a proxy to vote on your behalf, please download the proxy form and return it to no less than 24 hours before the time of the meeting (i.e. by 6 pm on Monday 18th September 2017).
